On the eve of her work being displayed at exhibitions in Gaza and in London, Samar spoke to MAP about challenges she and others with disabilities face and are exposing through their photographs.

On 3 December MAP was delighted to celebrate International Day for People with Disabilities with a photography exhibition held jointly in both Gaza and London, titled “Photographing Disability Rights in Gaza”.

Photographing disability rights in Gaza

Last week, MAP embarked on an exciting photography project with Palestinians with disabilities in Gaza. The project is supporting people with disabilities to tell their own stories through photography, raising awareness locally and internationally of disability rights and the barriers to these rights in Gaza.
